Cleveland National Forest

Cleveland National Forest

Up hill, both ways, only in a Jeep.

I love my Jeep! I really do. When my wife suggested that I think about getting a new car last December she also suggested that I consider getting a Jeep. After years of owning a BMW 328i that my wife insisted I keep ultra clean, vacuumed, waxed... oh wait... that was her car... never mind. Needless to say, she likes the BMWs in our household clean. Now, I am not the most outdoors type, and I never considered myself the 4-wheel type either. Nothing added up with her suggestions to get the Jeep, but somewhere in the process, she let it be known that if I got a Jeep that she wouldn't mind if it was “unkempt” or “not washed”... ... ... Okay, I can't tell you how much I paid for the Jeep, but I can tell you that I have only washed it twice since December ;P

What I like about it

It goes places that I have never been to before. Without saying too much, I want you to know, dear readers that I haven't been out and about a lot for some time. Work, kids, and my sordid affair with my couch and remote have kept me tied down. Only recently have I tried to get out and explore the brave world I had isolated from for far too long. And I feel free!

These two are pretty low-key and are the most easy going personalities you can imagine. We set out into the hills up the Indian Truck Trail having the best time chatting, riding, and just being.

What I especially love about it.

If you watched the slideshow above, you might notice that the rest of our family is not in the pictures. No wife, oldest or youngest daughter, dog or cats either. Just my son and middle daughter. This combination in our family happens rarely. Someone else is usually along, or one of these two is missing. But this day happened. And I owe it to more than the Jeep, but it would not have happened if I didn't have it.

Thanks for reading! Hope you have a great weekend!
